Ringwood sits where the A31 meets the A338. It is a civil parish with 14,618 residents based on the 2021 census, and Ringwood lost all rail access in 1964. The A31 continues eastward through the New Forest to Cadnam and the M27/M3 interchange (the main route to Southampton). New Forest District Council maintains its Ringwood Gateway office on The Furlong, and the former brewery ground at 138 Christchurch Road was sold to a developer in October 2025.
