Operation SnapHow the public hands driving-offence video — dashcam, helmet camera or fixed CCTV — to the police, each force taking submissions through the national portal. Hampshire Police accepts them.
The 14-day windowFor the offences it covers, the notice of intended prosecution goes out inside 14 days: served on, or posted to, the driver or registered keeper. It does not apply where there was an accident. Forces want your footage in days rather than weeks, so check the window Hampshire Police currently publishes, then act.
What they'll want from youThe registration of the other vehicle, a signed witness statement, and agreement in principle to appear in court if needed. Your video carries the case; you stand behind it.
Bodycams on the jobCameras worn by staff or security capture personal data, so a lawful basis, visible notices and retention limits apply. Evidentially, treat the clips as CCTV: hashes, continuity, originals kept.
