Is there an office on the Island?
No. The bench is at Guildford, and the Island posts to it exactly as the mainland does: PO30 to PO41 appear on none of Royal Mail's restricted or extended-delivery lists. Carrying a drive over yourself adds a fare and a timetable, so for most jobs the parcel is the simpler route.
We are a Newport business and cannot trade. How quickly can you act?
Say it on the phone at the outset and the case goes to the front of the queue: diagnosed the day the parcel arrives, imaged through Mon–Fri 9am–5:30pm, with a timescale once the diagnosis can carry one. The diagnosis itself is not charged for.
Does a server have to come over as a whole machine?
No, and it should not. A server or RAID set comes over as bare disks, each one labelled for its bay. An external in its own enclosure can travel whole; so can a NAS unit. No phones or tablets.
Does an Island address cost more to work on?
No. Multi-disk work opens at £500 + VAT and a recorder is £400 + VAT; a single drive costs £300 + VAT, and memory cards and sticks start at £250 + VAT. Diagnosis is free wherever the parcel started.
