The parish of Warminster had 17,840 people living within its boundaries according to the 2021 census, in 7,883 households. Warminster lies on the A36 trunk road, which connects Southampton to Bath. Its station, managed by Great Western Railway, is on the Wessex Main Line, which travels through Salisbury and Romsey to Southampton Central without a change of train.
