RAID 0 Electronic or Firmware Failure:
This type of failure is normally the result of a power surge or power spike. In most cases of electronic failure some of the hard drives in the RAID 0 array will be completly dead. Firmware codes are typically located on disk platters, and if the platter becomes damaged or corrupted, the hard disk drive will experience a failure. We receive in a lot of RAID 0 systems that have had a firmware upgrade only for the firmware upgrade to corrupt the RAID file system. RAID 0 controllers can fail. Clients try replacing raid card but system does not boot.
